To walk gives me the time to take a place in, feel its rhythm and experience it with all of my senses which in turn inspires me to take photos. I can walk the same route 40 times and still find something new I want to capture with my camera.
Shrouded was taken during such a walk. I have probably passed this house 50 times and although I have wondered about how it looks on the inside and who lives there I have never before thought of taking a photo of it. This day though the sun hit it just right, the autumn leaves framed it perfectly and I saw it in a whole new light. Suddenly this little house, which is surrounded by other houses, became a fairytale cabin in a far away magical forest. Now I can't pass it without smiling.
